Perhaps the most visible improvement in the Mi Band 9 is its screen brightness. Xiaomi increased it from 600 nits, as seen on the Mi Band 8, to 1200 nits, making the display much more legible in bright sunlight and significantly increasing outdoor usability.

Increased Capacity of Batteries

This feature is of utmost utility to users who generally don’t charge their devices frequently. The Mi Band 9 has increased its battery capacity to 23% as compared to that of the Mi Band 8. It is increased from 190mAh on the Mi Band 8 to around 233mAh. With this increase, it supports usage of up to 21 days with Frequent Always On Display off, ensuring the device can track activities and sleep without recharging day in and day out.

Additionally, it takes only 60 minutes to fully charge the device, which is a minor convenience that adds to its appeal.
