The WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB without heatsink is model WDS200T2X0E. It is the same drive as the heatsink version you asked about earlier — same NAND, controller, DRAM, speeds, endurance, and warranty. The only difference is the missing metal cooler and RGB.

Heatsink vs no heatsink — which to buy
Use case Buy this PS5 Heatsink SKU (WDS200T2XHE). Sony wants a heatsink; the factory one is sized to fit under the cover. Bare drive + aftermarket cooler works, but it’s extra work and easy to pick a heatsink that’s too tall. Laptop / thin mini-PC No heatsink. 2.38 mm will clear most notebook M.2 slots; the 8.8 mm heatsink often will not. Desktop with motherboard M.2 shield No heatsink is usually enough and cheaper. Use the board’s stock cooler. Desktop with no M.2 cooler / poor airflow Heatsink version, or bare drive + a cheap aftermarket cooler. Want RGB Only the heatsink 1TB/2TB models have it. Performance is the same until the drive gets hot. Under long writes the bare drive can throttle sooner if there’s no airflow or motherboard heatsink.
